Chez T.I.M.E.C., les Djs on les préfère dingues. Iconoclastes. Surprenants. Créatifs. Old School ou révolutionnaires. Ou les deux. Bref, les cas à part, avec du talent et de la culture, capables d'assurer le spectacle. Ceci explique peut-être notre attachement et notre intérêt et inversement pour ces tarés du son, ces obsédés des platines, ces poètes du groove, les Ark, Cut Chemist, Dj Shadow, Lemonjelly, Mixmaster Mike, Mr Scruff, Popof, Professor Oz, The Psychonauts, David Holmes... etc. La liste est assez longue, et nous pouvons y ajouter, aisément sur le podium, notre sujet du jour: Kid Koala.
Kid Koala joue avec des platines comme personne d'autre. Deux, trois, quatre, voire plus, peu importe, du moment que quelqu'un est là pour rattraper les vinyles derrière lui. Ça va tellement vite que lorsqu'il change de disque il jette le précédent par-dessus son épaule et un assistant le chope!! Enfin ça c'est aujourd'hui...
Nous sommes en 2003 et Kid Koala sort son deuxième album chez Ninja Tune. Ceux qui ont eu la chance de le voir mixer se sont pris une gifle mémorable. Ceux qui ont pris le temps d'écouter ses productions et/ou de lire ses bandes dessinées ont pu apprécier son univers des plus attachants. Pour tout ceux-là et les autres voici donc sa discographie plus ou moins complète et commentée. A vous désormais de vous télécharger les titres qu'il vous manque comme les bons petits pirates que vous êtes (tous... ah là là!), afin ensuite de courir les disquaires (de votre ville ou du web) essayer de récupérer les productions du Kid qui vous plaisent le plus! Ah? Ça sert à ça de télécharger de la musique sur Internet? Dans ce cas, mélomanes, je vous aime.

Here At T.I.M.E.C., we'd rather have nutcases for Djs. We want them to surprise us. To be overly creative. Old school or Revolutionarists. Or both. To put it shortly, we're interested in the special cases, with talent and culture, able to do the show. Perhaps this explains our attachment and our interest for these degenerates of sound, these vinyl-obsessed people, these poets of groove, Ark, Cut Chemist, Dj Shadow, Lemonjelly, Mixmaster Mike, Mr Scruff, Popof, Professor Oz, The Psychonauts, David Holmes... etc. The list is rather long, and we can add to it, on the podium, easily, our subject of the day: Kid Koala.
Kid Koala plays with turntables like nobody else. Two, three, four, even more, it doesn't matter, since somebody is there to catch the vinyls behind him . It goes so fast that when he changes a record, he throws the precedent over his shoulder and an assistant has to catch the flying one!! That's what we first understood...
We are now in 2003 and Kid Koala issues his second album on Ninja Tune. Those who had the chance to see him mixing live were slapped in the face by so much talent. Those who took time to listen to his productions and/or to read his comic books could appreciate his ever so-seducing universe. For all those and also the others, here is his discography, rather complete and with comments for each production. You may now download all the tracks that you had missed like the good old pirates you all are (yes, all of you!), so that you'll go running to your nearest record dealer (physically or online) to try to get your favorite Kid Koala's productions!
