DJ Elected sendt me these babies a few months ago. Now their off to be official releases this late summer. Follow up on the Jacked Potato's Vol.1 there will be Vol.2 & 3 as promised.

With Vol.2 DJ Elected do remixes of Roots Manuva / Lotek of Big Dada. The Roots Manuva is the Intro used at the Dj Elected Presents Roots Manuva mix CD. This is a party stomper for sure! On the B side DJ Elected slow it a bit down with a remix by Lotek HiFi's 'What You See'.

Vol. 3 are two remixes of a artist I never heard before. As I'm a fan of lo-fi/indie hiphop this one got my attension. It starts out with a stomping-stumbling beat, followed up with nice sad guitar samples..and then there is this excellent female voice, its like shes really hurt by not being your girlfriend. This is a superb track with mystic moves that really want you to dance with 'that' girl you've bin looking at all nite. Close up, groovy, sweaty, touchy, eyes to eyes and real tight..that way of a dance. I'm sure you'll understand...its just brilliant! B side tries to be somewhat the same but never reach up to the A side...then again, not much do.

Roots Manuva / Lotek 7" will be out in august. The third single will be released in September.

Last year DJ Elected (Erik de Loor and based in Netherland) made a very nice promo megamix of Roots Manuva. This could have bin easy a one time only as there are 100's of good Dj's around. So I was surprised when he contacted me about planning three 7" remix releases and soon the first one to be pressed. Heres the promo of his first remix 7". Also there is a release party in Dikke Vette Biets the 19th of May.

DJ Elected and Code00 started Sirkus Recordings a few months ago. First release will be a series of three7" records called Jacked Potato's, reworks by DJ Elected. The first 7", to be released the 19th of may, will be a jacked version of Junior Reid's - One Blood plus some Crazy potato's on the flipside. Second single will feature a remix of Lotek Hifi's - What You See and a 7" version of the intro to the Unofficial Roots Manuva Mixtape. Third 7" will be a banger. Jacked Oldies. Nice. Eze. Love.

Electro Caramel Records don't exsist anymore. It was a sub-label of Jazz Fudge Records which was founded by DJ Vadim but also ended along with Jazz Fudge in early 2005. These 4 7inches was all there was. Reptiles still do rhyming and are on a tour with DJ Vadim these days (2007-03). The Philip P.I.N.N. was released in 1984 as a very early electro releated french style. DJ Vadim liked it so much that he traced down Philip and convinced him to do a repress along with a new track on the B side (P.I.N.N. Electronics). Kid Acne is really dope with his rhyming and underground lo-fi/hip-hop style. Last one is by DJ Vadim as Andre Gurov with a Reptiles remix on the B side. These 7inches are limited and rare to find these days.
